Bump City played their debut performance on July 31, 2010 in Hilo at The Party on the Deck and have been blessed with steady work ever since. With a commitment to being the best funk band they can be, they have put a tremendous amount of time into song selection, arrangements, transitions and rehearsals. 

Lucas Clebsch (Guitar/Harmonica/Vocals) – Oberlin College alumni – Luke has performed, studied, taught, produced, written and directed music for many years. Andrea Lindborg (Trumpet/Flugelhorn) – Oberlin College (BA) & Berklee College of Music (MS) graduate from the Marshall Islands; a performing artist in New York City which lead to an impressively successful career including accolades by the NY Times as a “lyrical” player. Michael Surprenant (Drums/Vocals) – Berklee College of Music graduate – Michael has performed in hundreds of cities throughout the US and Canada performing with various artsists and groups from Grammy Award Winner Carl Anderson to Broadway Tour Productions including Chicago and The Full Monty to Atlantic's Ari Hest. Victor Aranas (Keyboard) - Originally from Sacramento, CA, Victor has been playing all over the world for more than 30 years. As a classically trained pianist he found himself performing for many community theater productions including: Sound of Music, The Wiz, Peter Pan, Annie and The Wizard of Oz. Garry Russell (Trombone) - Garry Russell was as a professional musician in Las Vegas for over 27 years, serving as the principal tubaist with the Nevada Symphony Orchestra and the Las Vegas Philharmonic, and for 25 years he was the tuba instructor at University of Nevada - Las Vegas. Duncan Bamsey (Baritone/Alto Saxophone) - Duncan leads his own Latin jazz group, The Standing Man Trio. Active in the local music scene, Duncan freelances with many bands and artists including LT Smooth, Bump City, Jr. Watson, Olga Salvatore's Combo's, Quadrilateral Jazz Quartet, Bill Shepard Big Band, Joe Coville’s Jazz Combo, Magic Sands, Vertical Mist, Primal Nature, Bula, Bolo, and The Olliephonics Little Big Band. Jesse Snyder (Tenor Saxophone/Flute/Percussion) – Jesse studied classical clarinet at the Pennsylvania Academy of Music and saxophone at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. And Mati Laino (Lead Vocals/Bass).
